I’m exhausted! For the past two weeks my husband and I have been hard at work fixing up our new little town home. We want to get everything in order before the baby comes and before he goes back to school. While working fast we’ve been sipping on this Strawberry Orange Sunrise Smoothie.
It’s been great to have him home so much and Carly has sure been in heaven playing with daddy all day. She’s kind of turned into a little daddy’s girl. Her favorite thing to do with him (besides going on the swing) is to have him sit with her at the bottom of the steps while she just jabbers up a storm to him. Seeing them together just melts my heart and makes me so happy. Nick is such a good father and I’m so excited to see him develop a relationship with our second little girl.
Anyway, our home projects have included repainting our kitchen cabinets… from black to white! It took many coats of primer and paint but it looks amazing and so much brighter. We also installed a fan in our bedroom which took us almost two hours to figure out but has felt amazing the last few nights (remember how I’m now 8 months pregnant?).
We also just barely finished painting all our 1970’s plain brown doors white and installed new knobs and hinges. It’s amazing how a layer of paint can really change the look of things and make them look all new and clean. I can’t wait to show you the before and after pictures!

This is such a delicious smoothie. So refreshing and the pistachios add the perfect crunch to the top.
