WHAT DO YOU PUT IN TROPICAL SMOOTHIE?

I find that the combination of banana, frozen mangoes, and frozen pineapple works the best. But frozen papaya, guava, jackfruit, or strawberries could be added as well.

Of course, you can use fresh fruit here. I love buying frozen fruit because it’s super convenient, and some may argue that it is equally nutritious when compared to fresh fruit. I drink smoothies every day, so you can find all kinds of frozen fruit in my freezer. (I do eat a lot of fresh fruit, too).

How to make Tropical Smoothie?

That’s the easiest part! You’ll just need to throw all of the ingredients (bananas, frozen mangoes, frozen pineapple, and coconut water) in a blender and process until smooth.

Ingredients:

  •     1 orange, peeled and quartered
  •     1 cup frozen mango chunks
  •     1 cup coconut water (or fruit juice)
  •     1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  •     1 ripe banana, peeled and sliced
  •     (optional: 1 teaspoon chia seeds or ground flax seed)

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender, and blend until smooth.  Serve immediately.
