How do you make Oreo Balls?
Regular Oreo Balls are made with cream cheese, Oreo cookies and a some type of chocolate coating. Only 3 ingredients for an amazing bite sized, no-bake dessert! All you have to do is crush up the Oreo cookies and mix them with the cream cheese and then shape the mixture into balls. Freeze the balls for about 20 minutes and then dip them in melted chocolate. For this recipe, I chose to use vanilla almond bark, but you could also use regular chocolate if you prefer that.
What’s that 3 pronged fork you use to dip your Oreo Cream Cheese Balls?
The 3 pronged fork I use to dip each Oreo Ball is a handy Wilton Dipping tool. It’s part of a 3 piece set that make it so incredibly easy to dip candy, or cookie truffles like these, in chocolate.
What chocolate is best for dipping?
When making candy like this I really find that dipping chocolate just works best. However it’s hard to find mint flavored green melting chocolate! You can use chocolate chips instead, like I did. I find it works best when you add a small amount – about 1/2 tsp- of shortening or coconut oil to the chocolate chips when you melt them in the microwave.

Ingredients
- 1 package Mint Oreo cookies
- Candy Coating - I used White Almond Bark and Wilton Green Candy Melts
- 1 package (8 ounce) Cream Cheese, softened
- Sprinkles, optional but fun
Instructions
- Using a Food Processor, crush Oreo cookies -centers included - into fine crumbs
- In a large bowl, place softened cream cheese
- Add the Oreo crumbs and combine well
- Roll into balls and place on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper
- Place in freezer at least 1 hour (I left mine a couple days and they were fine)
- Working with 1 chocolate coating, place almond bark or candy melts in a microwave safe bowl and melt. Depending on the amount you use, I start with 1 minute then stir, and continue heating for 20 seconds at a time, until the chocolate is almost melted.
- Working with a few truffles at a time, leaving the rest in the freezer,
- Coat truffles in chocolate
- Immediately add sprinkles if desired
